Spillage Clean Up

Oil and chemical spills can be a serious health hazard if not cleaned up immediately. Inhalation could cause nausea or dizziness. There’s also an increased risk of fire if there’s any type of naked flame or gas appliances nearby. This is why immediate chemical and oil spillage clean up is essential.

Spills should never be touched with bare hands, so should be left to professionals for clean-up.

Beyard can provide expert, emergency chemical and oil spillage clean up services. Preventing spills is important for businesses in order to comply with health and safety regulations. This is why Beyard offers clean-ups to spillage-prone areas.

Absorbent granules are effective for chemical, water and oil spillage clean up. These can be used both inside and outside, however we tend to use these in roadside or building site spills where uneven surfaces are present. Granules are chemically inert. There are different types of granules to use that leave surfaces clean, dry and safe.

Spill Kits

Spill kits contain everything we need to deal with any type of spill. There are various types of spill kits available that are used for different types of spillages. Each spill kit is equipped with bio-hazard bags, disinfectants, gloves, eye protection and respirators.

Oil absorbent pads

These types of pads are designed to repel water, making oil spillage clean ups easier to absorb when oil is mixed with water.

Chemical absorbent pads

These pads are used to absorb industrial liquids, such as harsh chemicals. These pads must be handled with care as any harsh chemicals soaked up will still remain harsh. After the products have been used, they are taken to a registered waste transfer station. As we hold a SEPA Waste Carriers License, we are legally allowed to dispose the waste. Without one of these licenses, it is illegal to dispose of such waste.

Types of spillages we deal with

  • Warehouse spillages
  • Factory spillages
  • Building site spillages
  • Roadside spillages

Our Cheamical and Oil Spillage Clean Up Process

Different spills require a different clean up process. For example granules are used in the first instance and when outside or on uneven surfaces, whereas absorbent pads provide adequate absorption indoors or on smooth surfaces. On the final stage of the clean-up process biodegradable detergents are used to reduce pollution.
